Superpipe 2+ Piping System
Superpipe International started offering its piping system in 1997 with a new generation of pipes — PEX-AL-PEX composite pipes — and threaded fittings. Compared to other common metallic and polymer systems, this innovation brought a major transformation in ensuring the durability and performance quality of domestic water supply and heating (radiator) piping systems in buildings, while also making installation easier.
In the piping industry, how often can one expect change and transformation?
Since then and up to today, to increase the system's safety coefficient, various components—including pipes and fittings—have been continuously reviewed and redesigned by the company's engineers and experts, so that Superpipe can respond to customers’ needs for confidence and comfort more reliably than ever before.
Superpipe 2+ piping system
is Superpipe’s latest creative and innovative achievement, featuring different pipes, different fittings, and different services. The Superpipe 2+ piping system is the result of today’s latest technological advancements, resulting in a hassle-free piping system for many years to come.
The Superpipe 2+ piping system is the winner of the Superior Building Product Medal from the Ministry of Housing. Additionally, this product was recognized as one of the top ten innovations of the year 2008 (1387 in the Iranian calendar) and internationally received the Silver Gaia Award at the 2009 Big5 Exhibition in Dubai, ranking among 2,900 products.
The new design of Supervalve valves T1-32, T2, S1-32, S2, S3, and S4 with polymer mechanisms makes opening and closing the valve significantly smoother and increases the product’s reliability. The use of a new ball made from special polymer material, along with its new sealing washers, provides an effective technical solution to minimize resistance against ball rotation and reduce the torque required to open and close the valve.
Socket or water outlet! A new and different valve from Superpipe for easy and quick access to water flow. Using Supervalve… I there is no need to shut off the water to install a device..
The Supervalo I is used in common areas for consumption management and to prevent unauthorized water use. It is also used as an independent valve, similar to a stopcock valve.
The 5-layer Superpipe +2 pipe is Superpipe’s latest achievement in the production of five-layer pipes, manufactured by Superpipe in beige color up to size 32 under license from Uponor Germany, and imported from Germany in white color in sizes 40 to 110.
In addition to Superpipe’s quality and durability, a fundamental difference in the design and raw materials used in the production of this product has led to its improvement. This pipe, which can be used for all building installations, guarantees an efficient piping system with a lifespan of over 100 years, without the need for maintenance or repairs. Superpipe +2 can be used without any issues at 10 bar pressure along with a temperature of 95°C.
The Superpipe +2 five-layer pipe is produced using the highly advanced PE-RT Type 2 polymer. PE-RT is the first polymer specifically designed and introduced for pipe production. The use of this polymer in manufacturing Superpipe +2 multilayer pipes offers the following advantages:
- Greater long-term temperature and pressure resistance
- Greater flexibility during bending and easier installation, especially in cold environments, due to the high flexibility of PE-RT, particularly at low temperatures.
- Lower pressure drop and no scaling due to the very low roughness of the inner surface.
- Possibility of using fittings with RTS technology
In addition to new raw materials, Superpipe +2 is distinguished by a beige color and a unique pipe color code.
Color code
The sizes of Superpipe +2 pipes are identified by a longitudinal colored stripe along the length of the pipe. Beige is for size 16, orange for size 20, brown for size 25, and green for size 32. This not only simplifies verifying the correct size selection by the installation supervisor but, due to the repetition of this code on the fittings, also significantly increases the speed of piping installation.
For the first time, Superpipe began producing fittings for five-layer pipes in late 1997. Superpipe’s union fittings are still used due to their variety of fittings with fewer parts and the requirement for minimal tools for installation.
In 1999, Superpipe introduced its press fittings to the market. Superpipe’s press fittings, with a steel ring (instead of a nut), were easier, faster, and cheaper, and since the fittings were pressed with a machine, installation errors were reduced. In 2006, the press fittings were replaced by Superpipe 2 fittings with RTS technology, and in 2007, by Superpipe +2 fittings with color coding.
Superpipe +2’s modern and contemporary fittings are unique outside Europe and not only provide permanent sealing like all Superpipe fittings but also increase installation speed and, most importantly, reduce human error with their features. Superpipe +2 fittings are available in sizes 16, 20, 25, and 32 and can only be used with Superpipe +2 pipes.
Different fittings …
Superpipe +2 press fittings have been re-engineered based on knowledge received from Uponor Germany. These fittings, introduced to the market using RTS technology and color coding, minimize the risk of plumbing system leaks due to installer error.
Additionally, to simplify installation and further enhance the safety of the plumbing system, other design measures have been implemented in these fittings, making them the most distinctive fittings in the world today:
Integrated pressing of the fitting body
In Superpipe +2, the pressing ring is made of aluminum instead of steel to ensure better and more precise pressing. Unlike older fittings, which were pressed onto the pipe at only three points, the aluminum rings are pressed along the entire surface of the ring.
Designated position for the pressing jaw placement
Another measure taken in designing Superpipe +2 fittings to make the system easier to install for contractors and safer for customers is the clearly defined placement for the pressing jaw. On the body of these fittings, a plastic ring acts as a support for the pressing jaw, marking the exact position for its placement. Additionally, three grooves are provided on the aluminum ring, which reduces the chance of pressing errors to nearly zero.
No need for calibration
The calibration step is an important part of installing five-layer pipes that requires a lot of time and precision. In older fittings, improper or incorrect calibration of the pipe—caused by human error, uneven cutting, or a faulty calibrator—can damage or displace the fitting’s O-ring, which may lead to water leakage from the connection point after some time.
One of the main advantages of the Superpipe +2 piping system is that it does not require calibration. Eliminating the calibration step not only reduces human error but also makes installation easier and up to 30% faster.
Easier pipe insertion into the fitting
Unlike other fittings, Superpipe +2 pipes easily and smoothly fit into the fittings without requiring much force to push the pipe in. This again reduces human error: in older fittings, due to installer fatigue and the required pressure, the pipe might not be fully inserted into the fitting.
Equipped with pipe insertion indicators
On Superpipe +2 fittings, there are three small holes that ensure the installer (and inspector) that the pipe has been fully inserted into the fitting. This increases the accuracy and reliability of the pressing process.
Tin plating
Superpipe follows the latest European standards. According to these standards, the use of nickel-plated fittings in sanitary water systems is not permitted. For this reason, Superpipe +2 fittings are offered with tin plating.
Ease of installing wall elbows
Another innovation in Superpipe +2 fittings is the introduction of wall plates and their related fittings with a completely new design. This system is patented under the name Superpipe in Iran.
With the new design and changes in the shape of the wall plate and its fitting, there is no longer a need to first attach the wall elbow to the plate and then install the assembly on the wall. Instead, the plate can be installed separately on the wall initially, and after the project supervisor confirms its position and height, the wall elbows can be installed during the piping process.
This way, both the speed, ease, and flexibility of the installation process increase, while again preventing human error.
Don’t calibrate!
Tin plating
Like Superpipe, it follows manufacturing standards in Germany. Since tin has replaced nickel in German industry standards today, Superpipe +2 also uses tin plating for brass alloys. Additionally, similar to the old Superpipe union fittings, a minimal variety of fittings can create the widest range of combinations. Therefore, besides simpler storage, there is greater flexibility for possible changes in installation routing.
The Superpipe system riser is a part of the Superpipe +2 piping system and addresses the needs for larger-sized pipes and fittings.
The only available choice for large-scale projects…
For large projects and high-rise buildings, larger-sized pipes are required. The Superpipe system riser is the only available option in the country for five-layer pipes up to size 110 millimeters (4 inches) and is offered in a complete range of pipes and fittings in sizes 40, 50, 63, 75, 90, and 110 for various applications in building or industrial installations.
Modular fittings: a major innovation…
In large-diameter piping systems, since bending the pipe is practically impossible, a wide variety of fittings is required. Normally, many different adapters must be used. This not only increases costs and reduces the speed of piping installation but sometimes also requires allocating a large space just to take a branch. Until now, hundreds of separate fittings were needed for this type of piping.
However, in the Superpipe riser system, fittings from size 63 millimeters and above are offered as modular components. In this new and exclusive system, only 26 pieces can create 300 types of fittings, tailored to the required needs!
In many cases, specific project conditions prevent exact implementation of the design. Sometimes, execution is delayed due to the need for a special fitting until the part is procured. In the modular system, various fittings are “built” on-site as needed by combining components in the workshop. Four main parts—90-degree elbow, 45-degree elbow, coupling/reducer, and tee—along with press, female-threaded, and male-threaded series, provide greater flexibility with fewer parts.
Unique features…
- Only 26 modular parts are needed for installing pipes from size 63 to 110.
- Faster and easier installation
- Greater flexibility: Ability to combine fittings according to installation constraints
- Ability to modify the fitting assembly before pressure testing
- Cost reduction by eliminating the need for reducers
- Reduced fitting weight and a 30% cost savings for sizes 90 and 110.
- Smaller fitting volume
- Pressing operations can be performed with current UP75 and UP75EL machines up to size 110.
- Easier storage with lower costs
- Greater safety due to no need for pressing operations at height
Where is the main water valve of your home?
It rarely happens that main shut-off valves are installed in convenient locations. Usually, these valves are hidden inside cabinets, under sinks, beneath stoves, and so on, making access difficult and opening or closing them inconvenient.
Additionally, most of these valves are of poor quality. Some, like gas valves, are not designed for this purpose at all. As a result, their rapid wear causes them to fail in sealing properly. These issues mean that just when you need them most, these valves often don’t work as they should.
Supervalve T series is Superpipe’s solution for main inlet valves in building units and is part of the Superpipe +2 piping system. With Supervalve—a joint product of Superpipe and Italy—it is possible to use high-quality, attractive valves that can be installed easily and quickly in accessible locations.
A new definition of main inlet valves for building units
The Supervalve T series can be considered a new definition of the main shut-off valve for building units. This product is essentially a quarter-turn ball valve with distinct quality and construction, designed specifically for the Superpipe +2 piping system. The Supervalve T serves as the main inlet valve in residential units or public places and is the most reliable choice for shutting off and controlling cold and hot sanitary water, as well as heating and cooling systems.

Completely accessible
The Supervalve is accessible but not immediately visible. The body of the Supervalve T series is installed concealed, with only an attractive cover visible on the outside. This way, although the Supervalve is installed recessed, it remains as easily accessible as exposed valves.
Elegant design and craftsmanship
Supervalve valves are made of sandblasted brass and are finished with chrome-plated fittings and an elegant design. The recessed installation capability and the aesthetic appeal of the Supervalve T allow it to be installed in accessible locations—whether on the exterior wall of an apartment, in the bathroom, or on the ceiling—without compromising the overall appearance.
A variety of single and double covers in chrome, matte chrome, and white colors make choosing easy for different tastes.
Distinctive quality, in accordance with Superpipe standards
Supervalve T series valves are a joint product of Superpipe and Italy and comply with DIN EN 13828 standards and DVGW requirements (the German Water and Gas Authority). The quality of the raw materials used and precision in manufacturing ensure the long-lasting durability of Supervalve valves.
Resistant to high pressure and temperature
Unlike other quarter-turn valves on the market, which are mostly designed for gas and are not suitable for water—especially hot water—the Supervalve T series is exclusively designed for water. It guarantees complete shut-off of water flow at any time under conditions of 10 bar pressure and 90 degrees Celsius temperature with 100% reliability.
Very quick and easy installation
The Supervalve T connects directly and easily to the Superpipe +2 piping system without the need for additional fittings. Like other fittings in the Superpipe +2 system, this valve features color coding and RTS technology and can be installed within one minute during or after piping work. Installation of the Supervalve does not require Teflon tape or other sealants.
Supervalve valves are the only durable and leak-proof valves capable of withstanding the Superpipe piping system’s pressure test (15 bar for two hours), which speeds up and simplifies the system testing process.
For installation on gypsum and lightweight walls, as well as for mounting cold and hot valves side by side, related components can also be used.
Repair and maintenance capability
Unlike other inlet valves, the internal mechanism of the Supervalve can be easily repaired or replaced in the shortest time without removing the valve from the system. Additionally, Supervalve spare parts are available from all Superpipe representatives.
Equipped with a concealed handle
The Supervalve comes with a concealed handle located beneath the cover. This handle can be kept together with the valve or separately in public areas. This way, when the valve is installed in more public locations, the handle can be stored separately with the building manager or maintenance personnel, preventing unauthorized individuals from opening or closing the valve.
If you prefer to use a handle other than the concealed one, you can choose from various models of handles and single or double covers with very elegant designs.
In two different types
While retaining all the excellent features of the Supervalve T series, this valve is offered in two different types: T1 and T2.
Supervalve T1
Supervalve type T1 is available in sizes 16, 20, and 25 with fixed fittings, meaning that the fitting press is done directly on the valve. The features of type T1 are as follows:
- Superpipe +2 press fittings come integrated for fast and direct installation.
- Identical inlet/outlet
- Simple ball
- Lower price
Supervalve T2
Supervalve type T2 features an anti-scale ball and detachable fittings. Detachable fittings mean that elbows or tees can be used instead of couplings. The features of type T2 include the following:
- New and exclusive fitting technology for fast and flexible installation to the Superpipe +2 piping system or threaded (female and male) fittings.
- Flexibility in size and type of inlet and outlet fittings (sizes 16, 20, 25, and various types of direct couplings, elbows, and tees).
- Ability to quickly install and detach the valve from the system
- Anti-scale ball suitable for use with hard water
