Iran Radiator History
Iran Radiator Company, consisting of several factories and with over 40 years of experience, is one of the country’s oldest and largest manufacturing units. It specializes in producing various types of aluminum and steel heating radiators, wall-mounted and floor-standing heating packages, gas, diesel, and dual-fuel burners, as well as split and ducted air conditioners.
Now, with years of experience, product quality improvements, and having twice received the National Quality Exemplary Unit award from the National Standards Organization, Iran Radiator has actively and proudly participated in prestigious international exhibitions across Europe. The company has also obtained multiple international certifications such as NF (France), CE (Europe), BSI (UK), and more. It has achieved the distinction of being the largest pressure die-casting unit in the Middle East, the second-largest aluminum heating radiator manufacturer in the world, the largest burner producer in the Middle East and fourth worldwide, and the largest towel radiator manufacturer in the Middle East.
Iran Radiator’s products have been proudly exported to over 30 countries, including advanced industrial nations in Europe such as Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Russia, and others. The company has also been honored three times as a national exemplary exporter.
Recent Innovations
At the time of its establishment, due to the lack of advanced die-casting systems in the country, the majority of aluminum heating radiators were imported. After about a year of research and development to produce aluminum radiators domestically, Iran Radiator Company began operations in March 1980 (Esfand 1358) in East Tehran. For the first time, the installation and commissioning of massive 1,200-ton flat pressure die-casting presses (Diecast) were completed entirely without any foreign assistance. Eventually, in 1987 (1366), due to limited space, production expansion, and inability to develop further within Tehran, the factory, along with all its equipment and machinery, was relocated to the Rasht Industrial City.
After fulfilling the country’s need for radiators, in 1992 (1371), to supply burners required for heating systems in the building and industrial sectors, Mashal Kar Ray Company was established. Today, it produces dozens of models of gas, diesel, dual-fuel, and oil burners with capacities up to 7,000,000 Kcal/hr, providing peace of mind to consumers in this field as well.
Since 2005 (1384), wall-mounted and floor-standing heating packages have been produced and offered in various models through collaboration with reputable European companies to transfer technical knowledge and the latest European technology. Utilizing the most reliable European components and employing the most advanced package research laboratory in the country, operated by MicroPlan Italy, enabled the company to quickly, and for the first time in Iran, obtain the Standard Certification from the Iranian National Standards Organization. Additionally, it became the first company to receive the technical certification for a locally designed package from the Road, Housing, and Urban Development Research Center.
Now, after several decades of activity in the installation industry, panel steel radiators have been produced and introduced to the market using high-quality raw materials and modern technology. We hope that, like other products from Iran Radiator Company, these will also earn pride and trust among customers and fellow citizens.
It was probably unimaginable for anyone that a small factory, which started with 30 workers, 3,500 square meters of land, and two die-cast machines, could—despite difficult economic conditions—grow by 2014 (1393) to operate around thirty die-cast machines, dozens of mold-making, casting, production, and assembly halls, and cover tens of hectares of production space, creating approximately 1,500 direct jobs and 10,000 indirect jobs. It is worth mentioning that competing with advanced industrial countries, exporting even to European nations, while fully meeting domestic demands, is no simple task.
Regarding production quality, it suffices to say that throughout the manufacturing process of various products, the quality control unit continuously supervises with great sensitivity and precision, and the products undergo testing at multiple stages. For example, radiators are subjected to three pressure tests and two paint tests; all burner models are first ignited and, after flame testing, are then packaged; and wall-mounted heating packages are tested at the end of the production line for all expected performance criteria of a package.
Regarding the procurement of raw materials used in product manufacturing, priority has been given to Iranian goods to promote economic growth and create jobs for fellow citizens. In cases where high-quality Iranian products are unavailable, materials are sourced directly and without intermediaries from reputable European suppliers (Germany, Italy, France, etc.). Ultimately, these efforts have led to growth and dynamism in quality, exemplified by the extension of radiator warranties from 5 years to 10 years replacement warranty and the increase of package warranties from 18 months to 24 months in the year 2011 (1390).
Given Iran Radiator Company's significant market share in packages, heating systems, radiators, and burners, alongside the country’s current policies on energy consumption optimization and a sense of responsibility toward national assets and natural resources, the company has consistently pursued research and development and the use of cutting-edge technologies in product manufacturing. This includes contracts with reputable European companies such as Driesler Germany, as well as the establishment and equipping of modern and unique research laboratories in Iran and the Middle East for radiator and five-layer composite pipe products—undertaken with substantial investment.
Additionally, the company offers after-sales services beyond standard warranty conditions, such as replacing radiators damaged during installation due to negligence. Our minimum expectation from those who care deeply about this land is to put into practice the clear slogan: “Buy Iranian, Quality Iranian Goods.” By doing so, we can foster dynamic job creation for our fellow citizens.
