Superdrain

In conventional wastewater systems, a vent piping network is used to supply air inside the system to balance pressure and protect the siphon traps—designed to prevent the entry of odors and other contaminants from the sewage system into the building environment.

No more need for vent piping!

Superdrain V, equipped with Supervent valves, is a new solution that eliminates the need for vent piping in the building’s wastewater network. It not only improves the accuracy and efficiency of ventilation system performance but also speeds up the system installation process.
More importantly, the likelihood of unpleasant odors spreading into the building is virtually eliminated!

In restrooms, the water inside the siphon acts as a barrier, preventing foul and unsanitary gases from entering the restroom space and, consequently, the living environment.

If the water trap in the siphon is lost, it creates a pathway for foul and disease-causing gases or pests to enter the building. This phenomenon is called siphonage. The role and function of vent piping in the wastewater system is to timely supply air to the sewage network to speed up fluid drainage and, more importantly, to balance the internal pressure with the external pressure. This helps maintain the water seal inside the siphon trap and prevents siphonage.

Vent piping, besides the risk of inefficiency, also brings other challenges both in terms of cost burden and execution. For instance, more pipes, fittings, clamps, and supports are required for system installation, which naturally leads to increased expenses for procurement, transportation, and storage.

Supervent Valves in the Superdrain V Wastewater System

It has the remarkable ability to supply air at the lowest negative pressure and in the shortest possible time, while effectively preventing reverse air flow—from the wastewater drainage network back into the building interior—thus creating a completely healthy and comfortable living environment for the building’s occupants.

Supervent valves are manufactured by Studer, the inventor and owner of the related technology. Studer has been the world's leading expert in this field for over thirty years and, through multiple factories and an extensive distribution network, produces millions of vent valves annually. These products are used in many prominent projects worldwide.

All Supervent valves are manufactured in accordance with Superpipe’s required standards, undergoing two rounds of testing before leaving the factory, in compliance with international standards EN 12380 (European Union), ANSI/ASSE 1051/1050 (USA), and AS/NZS 4936:2002 (Australia and New Zealand).

Supervent valves are classified in the highest standard class EN 12380 (Class AI) and hold certifications including CE, WaterMark, BBA, DIN Geprüft, KEYMARK, and ASSE.
